  • Hastings and Gunnell Battle The Monster

    Gavin Hastings and Sally Gunnell meet Smaug, a 2ft long bearded dragon - all three were launching FirstGroup's duathlon event - The First Monster Challenge.

    Sally Gunnell and Gavin Hastings have been confirmed as two of the famous faces who have signed up to take part in the 2010 First Monster Challenge, a 120Km team relay duathlon around Loch Ness on September 11. The race, which has already sold out, will see 1,000 competitors battle around the shores of Loch Ness on foot and two wheels.

    Running is becoming more and more popular in Scotland with new shops and groups being established all the time. Glasgow has seen a new shop and jogscotland group in the past week, as more people put on their running shoes and get out and about to keep fit.

  • World Cup Webb Joins Great Yorkshire Run

    Howard Webb

    Howard Webb, referee of the 2010 World Cup final in South Africa, has just signed up for this year's Bupa Great Yorkshire Run on September 5. The father of three, from Rotherham, who has chosen to support Sheffield's Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice, will be making his debut in the popular 10K event.
